Moving Manufacturing Forward in Salisbury

Holden WorkerWhat it takes for manufacturers to thrive in a challenging environment will be the focus of Manufacturing: Strategies to Thrive, a major event hosted by the Northern Economic Leaders in Mawson Lakes on 11 December.

While there is much public focus on the future of Holden and its suppliers, there are manufacturers in Salisbury who are changing the way they do business and are thriving.

Keynote speaker at the event, Professor Göran Roos, chair of the State Government’s Advanced Manufacturing Council  will provide some observations on how best practice companies are succeeding, the government’s approach in working with manufacturers and the potential implications for northern Adelaide arising from investment decisions made by Holden.

Michael Horrocks, Director, Lifestyle Bakery, which will feature as one of the local case studies along with Saab Systems and Osmoflo said “being a smaller manufacturer which has seen over 30% year on year growth for the last 15 years has had its challenges, but without a large marketing budget I look forward to sharing our creative approaches to drive the most from our marketing activities.”

Join us on Wednesday, 11 December, 3pm to 5.45pm at the Conference Centre, Innovation House, Technology Park in Mawson Lakes.
